Now Recruiting: Clinical Trial for with Hand and Foot Eczema
Do you or your child have hand and foot eczema, and treatments you've tried aren't helping? You're not alone – and our clinic is helping look for an alternative. Interior Dermatology is currently participating in a research study investigating a potential treatment for atopic hand and foot dermatitis (eczema) and is looking for people aged 12 and older to participate in a research study for an atopic hand and foot dermatitis medication.
Who Can Participate?
Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults with moderate to severe hand and foot eczema (atopic dermatitis) may participate.
Inclusion Criteria:
Have had chronic eczema affecting hands and/or feet for at least 1 year
Chronic eczema affecting at least 2 of these areas: left hand, right hand, left foot, right foot
Body weight of 40kg (88lbs)
Other criteria, as assessed by the doctor performing the study
Participant Information:
Participate and receive study treatment at no cost
Regular visits with study doctors who specialize in treating eczema (8 visits)
Will receive either an investigative topical treatment (study drug) or a placebo
Reimbursement for study-related expenses may be provided
How Long Will the Study Last?
16 weeks
Note: Participants will need to stop all other treatments for eczema during clinical trial participation. Some over-the-counter preparations may be deemed acceptable by the doctor performing the study.
