Dr. Burrows is a board-certified dermatologist and a respected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Her path in medicine was sparked at Queen’s University during her undergraduate medical studies. It was here, while engaging in research on contact dermatitis, that she developed a keen interest in dermatology, setting the stage for her future specialization.

Upon earning her Medical Doctorate from Queen’s University, Dr. Burrows embarked on a comprehensive 5-year residency in Dermatology at the University of Toronto. This period was marked by in-depth training across a broad spectrum of dermatology, encompassing medical, procedural, and aesthetic domains. Continuously enhancing her expertise, Dr. Burrows engages in ongoing education, advanced courses, and mentorship, reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning in her field.

In Kelowna, Dr. Burrows founded and currently leads the Interior Dermatology Centre, a modern, multi-disciplinary medical facility. This role complements her position as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science at the University of British Columbia, where she plays a role in educating medical students, residents, and future dermatologists, sharing her knowledge and experience.

Dr. Burrows also actively contributes to the advancement of dermatological science through her role as a primary investigator in clinical trials at the Interior Dermatology Centre. Her involvement in cutting-edge research ensures she remains at the forefront of the latest developments in dermatology, furthering her dedication to advancing the field and enhancing patient care.

Based in Kelowna, Dr. Burrows is a dynamic dermatologist and the medical director of Interior Dermatology Centre. Despite just three years in practice, she’s already making waves as a clinical instructor at UBC’s Department of Dermatology, enriching the learning experiences of residents and students.
